Whether you are going to the Big Big Big Meat Sale at Dave’s by yourself or with a friend, meeting a friend to shop around town for the afternoon or looking for a little extra excitement just for yourself, check out Fairbury’s Specialty Shops “Meet Us in Fairbury” event coming up this Friday and Saturday. There will be sales, food and even chocolate!

Harvest at The Country Cupboard
I’ve heard stories recently about the joys and excitement of harvest (and the stresses of breakdowns too). There’s a lot of energy and emotion that goes along with it! Along with corn and bean harvest, there’s work to be done in the garden, meals to make, kids to keep happy and give rides and so on. Harvest is happening here at The Country Cupboard too.

We have loads of corn & beans in our lunch box snack line-up which is filled with mixed veggie chips, green bean chips, black bean chips, toasted corn, corn chips with flax seeds and bagel chips. Need some sandwich ideas? Do you like the good ol’ ham & Swiss option? Or maybe you like turkey and Colby or chicken and cheddar (like my niece)? We have tons of sandwich options from our deli. You can even order a Personal Sandwich made fresh with our homemade buns for just $3.99! Would you rather have pbj (peanut butter and jelly)? Or how about almond butter with peach jam? Or cashew butter with F.R.O.G jam (figs, red raspberry, orange and ginger)? Or Sunbutter (tastes like peanut butter) with Traffic Jam (a combination of berries)?

Looking for a hot, fulfilling evening meal after a hard day of work? Try our frozen meals:  Turkey, Ham or Reuben. These meals are made with deli meat filled with stuffing and covered in gravy. They are easy, easy. Just pop in the oven and bake until bubbly.
