Old Scenes, New Scenes and Ice Cream

Did you hear Mrs. Guggisberg passed away? You probably don’t know her, but you may have heard of Guggisberg Baby Swiss cheese. It comes from Holmes County, Ohio and is the famous mild Swiss cheese many of you love. If you haven’t tried it yet, stop in and ask for a free sample, it’s delicious! Plus, it’s on sale this week for $1 off per pound.

As summer fades away, school starts again. The Country Cupboard not only has great deli meat for lunches, but also great after school snacks. Come see our snack display one special little student selected for other little students. Also, with the end of summer comes the end of our Amish Macaroni Salad in the deli and ice cream bars in the freezer. Quick grab a little more before Labor Day. This week ice cream bars are only 50¢ each.

You won’t want to miss our delicious, fresh homemade donuts. Our flavors this year are: Chocolate, Pumpkin, Glazed, Salted Caramel and Allergy Free Pumpkin (egg, gluten, dairy and nut free). Plus sample apple butter, peanut butter spread and pumpkin butter and save on these items! Turkey, Corn & Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps
Turkey, Corn & Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps– 4 servings
*These ingredients available at The Country Cupboard
1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen (thawed)*
1/2 cup chopped fresh tomato
1/4 cup chopped soft sun-dried tomatoes
2 tablespoons canola or olive oil*
1 tablespoon red-wine vinegar or cider vinegar*
8 thin slices low-sodium deli turkey (about 8 ounces)*
4 8-inch whole-wheat tortillas (we have gluten-free)
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
Combine corn, tomato, sun-dried tomatoes, oil and vinegar in a medium bowl. Divide turkey among tortillas. Top with equal portions of the corn salad and lettuce. Roll up. Serve the wraps cut in half, if desired.
