Summer Fruit

Michigan berries are going to be a little earlier than last year, so pick up will be around July 10th. The cost will be approximately $2.50 a pound.
Indiana blueberries will arrive around sometime after July 20th. Cost will be around $2.80 per pound. (30 pound limit. Quantities are limited).
All berries come in 10 pound boxes. Reserve yours by signing up via email, phone or stop in.
Peaches are scarce again this summer, we hear. We are able to get some Fresh Georgia Freestone peaches just like last year. These peaches are good for either canning or eating. They will arrive Wednesday, June 24th. Cost is $18.50 for a 10 lb box, $37.50 for 25 lbs (1/2 bushel). Peaches are available on a first come, first serve basis. Either reserve yours or stop in to pick up.
Corn ‘N Black Bean Salad – it’s not too spicy and it’s been a big hit at picnics 

2 c. frozen corn
1 gr. pepper, diced
1/2 c. red onion, diced
1 15.5 oz. black beans, rinsed
1 T. fresh parsley, chopped
1 T. vinegar
3 T. lime juice
1 1/2 t. cumin
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1/2 c. olive oil (we use less)
Mix corn, pepper, onion, beans, and parsley. Pour vinegar, lime juice, cumin, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Gradually whisk in olive oil. Add dressing to salad. Best at room temperature.
