Did you know that you can buy those delicious burgers right here at The Country Cupboard? Bauer Crops and Cattle not only has hamburger patties, but also ground beef and beef roasts. They do not use hormones or antibiotics so you know you are getting good nutrition (and no toxins) when you eat their meat.

Summer Time is SSSSSSSSalad Time!

Whether it’s pasta salad, potato salad, spinach salad, lettuce salad, or corn salad, it’s time for easy, cool food. We have mixes to make your summer side-dishes easier. Love coleslaw? We have a mix for that. Did you try our Amish Macaroni Salad at our Cook-Out? You can either buy it pre-made in the deli here or else get a mix and make it yourself.

Father’s Day is A’Comin’!

Food is always a great idea for gifts. It doesn’t need dusted, fed or batteries, plus it doesn’t last long enough to be in the way. What do you want to give Dad this year? Flavored Decaf Coffee, Bread & Butter Pickles, Kettle Corn, Mixed Nuts, Australian Style Licorice or perhaps Gummi Peach Rings? We have all of that, including easy made-up gift baskets of pretzels and breakfast foods. Stop in and see what you can get to tell Dad you are grateful for him this year.

Doesn’t this sound good? Roasted and salted peanuts, salted caramel pieces, toffee peanuts, chocolate covered raisins, almonds, and cashews? You’ll find this Salted Caramel Nut Mix in the snack mix section with a “New Item” sign under it.

Lemon Honey Coconut Oil Dressing – most ingredients available at The Country Cupboard – I had this yummy dressing on my salad recently. It’s really refreshing and easy to make.

1 lemon, juiced
¼ cup Coconut Oil, melted
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Wildflower or Local Honey
Salt, to taste
Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Onion Powder, to taste

Whisk all ingredients together, serve immediately. Dressing will thicken upon standing. TIP: If dressing begins to thicken, microwave on defrost for 30 seconds or set container in a pan of warm water.
