Spring is Here (at least inside it is)!

And the winner is…

Thanks for all who came out to enjoy some tasty cheese and lively music. The most popular cheese this year is Southwestern Salsa. Christine Waibel voted and won a free pound of her favorite cheese. Cheese Tasting day and other special events are fun days because we get to see so many people who share great ideas. Did you know macaroni and cheese is even better made with smoked cheddar? (And no, I didn’t intend for that to rhyme, but it did bring me a smile.)

Spring is here – inside, that is! Our spring and Easter items have arrived. We have a great variety of sprinkles and sugars, along with colored sixlets, sugared gummi bunnies, jelly beans and jelly eggs. For those of you who love chocolate, we have those, too!

Chicken Tenders

You can also call this homemade chicken nuggets. Make more than you think, because they are easy to gobble down. Kids and adults alike love them.
3 lbs. boneless chicken breast
3/4 c. vegetable oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 1/4 c. Italian bread crumbs
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
Pound the chicken breasts to flatten. Cut into 1 inch wide strips. Mix oil and garlic; dip strips in this mixture. Mix bread crumbs and cheese; coat chicken. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until tender. Serve with honey mustard sauce (equal parts of  honey and mustard). Serves 10-12.
