Christmas is Coming…Last Minute Gift Tips

Baskets

– Have you seen our Amish made baskets to carry casserole and glass dishes? They are made by an Amish family in Ashland, Ohio. They use their income from the baskets to feed their 5 young children and your purchase supports them! The baskets are top-quality and come in many different sizes & shapes. These baskets make fabulous Christmas, birthday and bridal shower gifts.

Gift baskets – Looking for a quick, easy, but personal gift? We still have a few made-up gift baskets available. Filled with snacks, cheese and candy, these baskets range from $20-$40. Do you want to choose the items yourself? Just ask. It takes just a few minutes to assemble your basket and we have a lot of different sizes to choose from.

Quart Jar M&M Cookies

In my opinion, these cookies should have a more exciting name because they are so delicious. They are perfect for a gift (think Christmas M&Ms) or perfect to make just for yourself (without the jar).

Layer in quart jar:
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. m&ms
1/2 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. brown sugar (pressed down)
1/2 c. quick oats
mix together:
1 1/4 c. flour
1 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
To make cookies:
Preheat oven to 375º. Empty mix into a bowl and mix well. In another bowl, beat 1/2 c. soften butter, 1/3 c. peanut butter, 1 egg and 1 t. vanilla. Mix with dry ingredients. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
