 End of Summer Ice Cream Sale – BOGO Free

I saw some fall colored leaves this past weekend which means fall is in the air. This coming weekend (September 5-6) the shoppes in Fairbury are celebrating “Fall Into Fairbury”. Stop in to check out sales and see new items for the season. We have a great selection for autumn this year including sprinkles, cappuccino, pancake mix, dips, pretzels, candy, and suckers.
To say “hello fall”, we must say “good-bye summer” and with that, we’re having our end of summer ice cream sale this week. Buy one, get one free on individually wrapped ice cream bars.

Sausage ‘N Apple Baked Squash
We really like this with maple sausage. Easy and very delicious!

1 c. chopped apples
½ c. chopped onions
4 Tbsp. dry bread crumbs
½ tsp. ground sage
¼ tsp. pepper
1 lb. sausage
4 sm. acorn squash, halved & seeded
In medium bowl, combine apple, onion, bread crumbs, sage and pepper. Add sausage; mix well. Spoon into squash halves; place in a greased 9 x 13. Cover and bake at 375° for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes more or until sausage is no longer pink and squash is tender. Serves 8.
