Our great big meat & cheese sale is so popular, we’re continuing it for yet another week. The Virginia Ham and Tavern Smoked Turkey are two of our most popular meats. Come in and ask for a sample. Low Sugar Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch
4 cups fresh rhubarb, chopped
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup rolled oats – a great value at The Country Cupboard
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
B/C Topping, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, stir together rhubarb, strawberries and honey. Transfer to a shallow baking dish. In same bowl, stir together oats, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix in butter until crumbly and spread over top of fruit.
Bake for 40 minutes, until rhubarb is tender and topping is toasted. Serve warm. Top with B/C Topping, if desired.
