Have you tried our homemade buns recently?

We’ve recently perfected the plain and italian parmesan bun recipes. These homemade sandwich buns comes in packages of 6. Eat a delicious sandwich at home or order Your Personal Sandwich at The Country Cupboard. Choose from plain, whole grain or italian parmesan.

Trail Mix Granola Bars

I’m always excited to try new granola bars. These were highly recommended by Joy Truck. You can thank her for this yumminess.  

½ c. honey

½ c. almond butter

2 T. coconut oil

1 t. vanilla extract

¾ c. raw pecan halves

¾ c. raw cashews

½ c. raw almonds

5 large dates, soaked in warm water for 15 minutes

¼ c. unsweetened coconut

¼ c. raisins

2 T. craisins

½ c. semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips, optional

(or use dark chocolate covered raisins instead of raisins and chocolate chips)

Place honey, almond butter, coconut oil, and vanilla in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, place pecans, cashews, almonds and dates into a food processor and pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add coconut and pulse a few times to combine. Stir honey and nut mixture together; add raisins, crasins, and chocolate pieces, if desired. Spoon mixture into greased 9 x 13 pan and pack tightly with wooden spoon. Freeze for 2 hours. Remove from freezer and remove from pan. Cut into 12 rectangular pieces. Store in the refrigerator or freezer.
