Our shopping carts have arrived! You don’t need to be as excited as we are, but your kids and your tired arms might be. Our other news or maybe I should say our other “new” items are here. Our soup mixes have arrived. Just add water (and meat). Choose from: broccoli, chili, cheeseburger, harvest stew, potato, french onion, taco, bacon ‘n potato, or chicken noodle. If you want to make your own soup and add dried mushrooms, bell peppers or other veggies, we can help you with that too.
Check out our freezer section. We recently “stuffed” it with new items. Find frozen coconut cream or apple pie, red velvet cake roll, Italian sausage, hot dogs, chicken patties and frozen fruit. We’re waiting for our gluten-free items from Sami’s Bakery in Florida. They hopefully will arrive at the end of next week. Then you can stop by for bread, bagels and other highly-recommended items. More on that next week. Also for our gluten-free friends, we now have white rice flour, brownie mix, pancake mix, chocolate chip cookie mix and pizza crust mix. We hope to expand our GF section soon.

To help with the “warm” part, we’re sharing one of our favorite hot drink recipes. It’s not a mix, but it is fast! Stop by The Country Cupboard for all ingredients except for the milk.
1 c. half-and-half cream or milk
3 T. white baking chips
1 cinnamon stick
Dash ground cinnamon
Dash ground nutmeg
1/2 t. vanilla extract
Pour cream/milk into mug. Add white chips, cinnamon stick, cinnamon and nutmeg. Microwave until chips are melted. Discard cinnamon stick. Stir in vanilla. Enjoy!
Dairy & Soy -Free Option
For all of you who can’t have milk and/or white chocolate – try this delicious version. Substitute vanilla almond milk for the milk and the white chocolate. We think you’ll agree – it’s amazing!
